Inspired by Summer's Last Weeks: "A Boat Named Freedom".

This past summer, my family and I spent our days camping, paddle boarding, and biking. When winter comes, we’ll be back on our snowboards. But one quiet moment in Provincetown stayed with me and became the spark for my latest painting.

We were sitting on the beach, feeling the sun on our skin and listening to the waves. Out on the water, a boat drifted by, flying a bright, striking flag. The sight grabbed me instantly. The colors, the movement, the sense of freedom, it was unforgettable. I knew, I had to bring that feeling to canvas.

Back in my studio, everything fell into place naturally, the composition, the colors, and the title. The painting that emerged is A Boat Named Freedom.

The title reflects the heart of the work: the choices we each hold and the boundless freedom to love authentically. Rainbows, in particular, have always resonated with me as symbols of hope and joy. I wanted to weave that vibrancy and optimism into the very spirit of this piece.
