Atmospheric perspective does something particular to mountains at dusk — the layers recede, each ridge a slightly softer gray than the one before it, until the furthest peak is barely a suggestion. That Time of Night works with that logic: geometric bands of layered gray build depth across two panels, cool and quiet, the kind of painting that changes as the light in a room changes. Installed together, the panels read as one continuous range. Hung separately, each holds its own.
