Traces of Stillness: A New Collage Series

These small pieces moved me to tears. Creating them became an exercise in restraint and presence.

Introducing: Traces of Stillness is a contemplative collage series exploring quiet landscapes through minimal form, layered paper, and subtle geometry inviting reflection, presence, and pause.

These collectible 6 × 6 inch collage works on paper were created to explore the essence of landscape in a compact, approachable format. Drawing inspiration from nature, each piece translates mountains, rivers, deserts, and coastal scenes into layered forms, subtle patterns, and abstracted compositions.

Made with Rives BFK paper, hand-painted paper, canvas, and collage materials, these small artworks offer depth, texture, and a personal sense of place, making them perfect for collectors who value both intimacy and artistry.

I have a multitude of projects currently underway, making it difficult to decide which one to share first and which to hold off on. Today, however, one particular project took the spotlight.PUBLIC ART PROJECT: I am thrilled to share that the painting, “Pockets Filled with Hope”, 5ft x 10ft, was picked up this morning and is on the way to the Southern Connecticut State University School of Business. This piece is a part of the CT 1% public art project. A big thank you to @tamaradimitri and @CTofficeofthearts for selecting this artwork for the installation. Thank you to @frameshopct for working with me to get this piece ready for pickup. Of course, a big thank you to the team of movers to get this piece safely into the truck. I am truly grateful for the community I have created here on the East Coast.

What an amazing event last week. The juror for the Greenwich Art Society, 106th Annual Open Exhibition was Guggenheim Curator, David Max Horowitz. I was so inspired to hear him talk so passionately about art in all its forms. I’m beyond flattered that my work was chosen for this prestigious show. The painting shown ,”Arctic Lands” 36” x 36”, acrylic on canvas is a reflection of my deep concern about the state of our planet. The polar regions are experiencing some of the most drastic changes, and it is both awe-inspiring and deeply saddening to see. I wanted to create a piece that would capture the beauty of nature while bringing attention to the devastating effects of climate change.
